World Read Aloud Day TODAY

Find out why it is important and tips on how to do it from our National Library

It is enjoyable and useful even for teenagers (Are students ever too old?) , even for adults. So make a favour to someone by reading aloud to them.

Read a picture book or a chapter of a book you like, or an article in the papers or an entry in the encyclopedia. Examples of great books to share:

  • The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
  • Love That Dog by Sharon Creech
  • Weslandia by Paul Fleischman (Picture book)
